Jet BMX was formed in 2012 from a need to create affordable entry-level bmx bikes which were going to be the best possible choice for someone just starting out in BMX. We felt that although there are some great complete BMX bikes on the market for £300-600 there is very little under £250. We felt that the bikes offered at this price range were not offering the rider a decent chance to progress in BMX with their out-dated geometry, heavy design and lack of options to upgrade their parts as you progress.
And that’s where Jet comes in. The whole concept behind Jet BMX is to offer entry-level BMX bikes which give the rider the best possible chance in BMX by getting them started on the right foot. Jet are exclusively available through specialist BMX stores so we know that you will get the sound advice you require when purchasing your first BMX Bike.
We decided at Jet BMX that the usual pro team that accompanies a BMX brand is not really what Jet is all about; it seemed silly to us that a pro rider would ride around on one of our entry-level bikes. So how do we put back into BMX without supporting pro riders? We decided that an entry-level BMX bike company should support the other end of the BMX spectrum instead; the grassroots. Here at Jet we plan to support and encourage the building of new and better facilities for BMX, like skateparks and trails. We will be donating bikes to fund-raising events around the UK as well as supplying all the required information you may require if you are looking at working with your local council to get better facilities in your area.
